     Dear Loyal Writer's Workshop Readers,

This sub and all others currently being hosted by this system, will be
moved to another VirtualNET system soon. Traffic may slow down for a week or
two but should pick up again after that time.
It will be a while until I am able to join in the conversations again
but I will get back to you as soon as I can. I hope while I'm away that you
all will continue to set goals for yourselves and keep moving forward with
your writing interests.
It is my hope that I can use this time to once again establish my
freelance career and that I will have a lot of news to share with you upon my
return.
Since I will be cut off from E-mail access for a while, all submissions
will need to be sent to me through snail mail, either type written or on 3
1/2" disk in ASCII DOS text format.
Following is a copy of the guidelines. You may use the WWR address to
reach me by mail on a personal level if you wish.

                    WRITER'S WORKSHOP REVIEW MAGAZINE

A magazine for writers and their families. Contains: fiction short
stories, nonfiction short stories and writing related articles, poetry,
computer networking information for writers, market news, art work, and
informative columns by experienced writers.

Writer's Workshop Review strives not only to provide a market for
beginning writers, but to showcase work by experienced professionals. We
want to show beginners the ropes through our writing and give them the
publishing break they have been looking for. WWR encourages computer
networking with other writers and stresses the importance of setting goals.
WWR strives to instruct and entertain. We want to abolish wanna-bes and turn
all writers into active freelancers.

WWR accepts previously published work providing hasn't appeared in
widely distributed publications with circulations larger than 30,000. No
simultaneous submissions please.

Just because you haven't seen anything like it on our pages before
doesn't mean we wouldn't be interested. We like to publish a wide variety
of work and encourage our readers to help make WWR what THEY want it to be.

We are actively seeking submissions for our roving columns as well as
submissions for the categories listed below. Titles of our roving columns
are as follows: Young Author's Korner (written by authors ag 15 and below),
Words of Wisdom (writing/office/computer tips), Network News (computer
networking information for modem users), My Worst Rejection & My First
Publication.

Fiction:

Suspense, horror (not terribly gory please), fantasy, science fiction,
romance & humor.

Preferred word count is 1,500 words but will accept up to 3,000
providing the writer has made every word count. Material that can be
edited, will be edited so it's best if the author writes tight to begin with.

Nonfiction:

Writing related how-to articles, writing/computer/office related filler
pieces, information on markets, fillers about writing related electronic
bulletin boards or Internet addresses of writing groups, information on
writing clubs, short stories, personal experience, software reviews, reviews
on books for writers or computer users and reviews on magazines for writers.

Preferred word count for articles and short stories is 1,500 to 3,000
words, but again, tight writing is a must. Fillers should be 500 words or
less. Make submissions of information as short as possible without losing
important data.

Poetry:

All forms, all styles. Two pages or less. Typed. Double Spaced. No
more than three poems at a time.

Art Work:

Pencil or black ink drawings, or computer generated art in the
following formats: .BMP, .DXF, .HGL, .PIX, .PTL, .CGM, .WMF, .TIF, .DRW,
.EPS, .PCX, .WPG and .PCD.

All art work must be original and not a remake of someone else's work.

We are looking for art we can use on our cover (7 3/4" in height by 7
1/2" in width.), writing related humor and various art to illustrate fiction
and nonfiction submissions. Seasonal material is welcome. We will consider
almost anything. (no nudes) Other than cover art, submissions can be made in
any size as long as they will reduce or enlarge well. (dark lines)
