SOURCE: Neowin https://www.neowin.net/news/edge-sends-images... is-how-to-disable-that/ https://tinyurl.com/bdeh59xh So without user knowledge, M$-Edge, Micro$oft's replacement for Internet Explorer, sends images that you view online via the browser back home to Micro$oft. Also mentioned is a "bug" that leaked your personal information to Micro$oft's Bing search engine. The browser may warn you now that the photo enhancement gimmick involves sending the photos to M$ but it did not originally, even though it was sending the data even then. The site I found the message on, osnews.com, suggested the best fix is to stop using Edge. We are forced to use it at work but, as all of my home machines are *nix machines, it is not used here. * SLMR 2.1a * Nothing is so smiple that it can't get screwed up. --- SBBSecho 3.14-Linux * Origin: capitolcityonline.net * Telnet/SSH:2022/HTTP (618:250/1) |
