I had a real simple setup to clone. there wasn't really anything I could have
done wrong.  the image it made was bad.

this was over 5 years ago so maybe it's better.  i think cloning partitians and
resizing shit is too much work.

i'd rather backup files and install an OS fresh and make partitians then.
for me it's less tinkering and faster.
