Hello Warpslide! ** On Monday 19.07.21 - 17:34, Warpslide wrote to August Abolins: W> One thing I NEVER got working on the Mac was running an W> envelope through the printer with Word. I would never imagine nor expect a Mac product to misbehave like that. (Apple/Mac being associated with quality and everything, that is.) Did you scour the user groups for solutions? In Windows, usually a printer issue is resolved in a driver update. Not sure how a Mac system would take care of a printer problem. Not surprised that the MS version worked. Afterall, the Mac version of Word was probably just a quick recompile "for Windows" without properly checking full functionality? AA>> But... did you *have* to upgrade to Catalina or Big Sur? ... But look what "neat" for a little while cost you. :/ AA>> I read about the 32bit too, but the MS links to it were AA>> gone by the time I heard about it. Both of my Win7/64 Pro pcs (one laptop and one DT) only ever go into Hibernation. I rarely need to do a Shutdown or Restart. [I have a 3rd pc with Win7/32 Pro, but I rarely use it at this time. It too is currently in Hibernate only] I'm not sure how my Win7's are affected by the recent Printer Spooler vulnerability. I think the news said that ALL versions of Windows were affected. -- ../|ug --- OpenXP 5.0.50 * Origin: (} Pointy McPointface (618:250/1.9) |
