I worked at a large internet company and was responsible for managing
desktop support in North America. Our San Jose campus has around 3500
employees scattered across 10 or so buildings.

We had a change in desktop support providers, and I had a new team to
support the campus. I was trying to find ways to get them to learn the
campus, the customer teams, and get out to see what's going on beyond the
desktop support area.

I came up with a scavenger hunt with prizes. One of the questions was:

"Identify the oldest printer (or the printer with the most pages) on campus"

The winning printer was an HP 4M made in 1992 with 600,000 pages on the
engine.

The methodology varied.

1 person went from building to building with a clipboard and printed status
pages from close to 150 printers and found it.

1 person figured "accounting" would have old printers they didn't want to
replace, and found it.

1 person asked our print vendor to run a report from HP JetAdmin and found
it.
