I've seen some talk about that on the interwebs since I've been working
on my "new" T43. It seems that a BIOS update will help with the PATA
SSD thing. I've thought about trying that route, but I feel pretty good
about getting OS/2 installed and running and I don't want to push my
luck toying around with flashing the BIOS and whatever else I'd need to
do. But I would love to run a SSD in it. 

Maybe I'll buy another T43 to experiment with.
