I did need to tape over AL> pin 13 on the WiFi card and ground pin 13 on the socket to get the laptop's AL> WiFi LED to work. This is because some manufacturers of WiFi cards AL> interpreted the specs differently than Intel, who manufactured the approved AL> WiFi cards for the T43 series. I dug up my old T43 yesterday in response to this thread. My T42 works with a KingSpec and another brand SSD, but I can't get either to work in the T43. PATA HDDs work just fine - I have a couple of 60 GB 7200 RPM drives from older IBMs and a newer Samsung 7200 RPM 160 GB HDD. I'm spoiled by SSDs, though! I was surprised that it's already running a M760 processor. If I can get it working, it'll be a nice upgrade from the T42. --- SBBSecho 3.00-Win32 * Origin: http://realitycheckbbs.org (618:300/1) |
