I'd swap a $2K laptop for a $300 KW> chromebook to have my desktop in a window... What you described is exactly what I have setup at home. I can connect home via SSL VPN, fire up a html-5 browser and login to my virtual desktop. Out of habbit often times I use the Horizon View client since that remotely connects USB devices, audio, etc, but if you don't need that stuff you can use the browser only. I use that virtual desktop as my isolated torrenting VM. Citrix was the best back in the day but VMware/View Desktops have more options these days. - Mark --- WWIVToss v.1.52 * Origin: http://www.weather-station.org * Bel Air, MD -USA (618:100/12.0) |
