Hello Kurt!

21 Mar 17 09:14, you wrote to Kevin Nunn:

T43s will take up to a Pentium M 780 (2.26 GHz) processor. There is a
modified BIOS available that eliminates the error messages with non approved
hard drives and WiFi cards. I have one T43p using this BIOS along with an
Atheros chipset WiFi card with no issues. I did need to tape over pin 13 on
the WiFi card and ground pin 13 on the socket to get the laptop's WiFi LED to
work. This is because some manufacturers of WiFi cards interpreted the specs
differently than Intel, who manufactured the approved WiFi cards for the T43
series.

KW> The thinkwiki has lots of information, too.

There is a download link for the modified BIOS on thinkwiki.org.

Andrew
