I'm having fun learning scripting all over again. I retained much of it, but
I was using VBBS. Thankfully, the concepts are the same and my memory of the
old VBBS syntax is fuzzy enough that I'm able to apply it with a bit of
reference material.

My first script project for the BBS is moving random message display to a
script, so I could customize the look. This required three things:

1) A program to create a text file from the RANDOM.CFG file (which is in
random access format).

2) A script to read the resulting text file (readable by scripts) and display
it on the screen, hopefully efficiently.

3) A program to update the random messages text file from RANDOM.CFG as
needed.

All three of these things are complete and working great. I will be posting
the kit on my BBS file section as soon as I am happy with its feature-set.

I'm still haggling with myself over the look and feel I want to create, which
I'm sure will require a number of script projects to achieve.

I'm having a blast.
