...But I /had/ cable internet for 8 years in this apartment.  Just with
their "Fido" reseller not with the big name of Rogers.

If you don't do a whole lot that's probably the way to go for you.  I
use mobile when we're in the woods and while I don't stream (much) I also
don't really watch my bandwith and I've never even come close to the
monthly limit.
