the reason why they cost so much is they last forever and they're cheap on ink. 
they've had high prices like that for over 10 years.
I wish i didn't toss mine, but they were a pain and taking up space.
When i was picking up parts at a computer store in town and mentioned it had one
the dude's eyes got big warned me to hold onto it.

if anybody has a dotmatrix printer,hang onto it.
