I "hacked" my Kindle by getting Google Play installed on it.  However, it 
seems that the Amazon (App) Store has a lot more going for it than it did a 
couple of years ago when I bought my Kindle.

Right now, my Kindle is cooking in my van.  I have to remember to bring it 
with me.  I mainly use my Kindle as a VDU connected to Amazon Prime Video to 
watch movies and such.
