DL>>One of the finer aspects of life, rocking.

DL>I've always found that to be true. Although if you do it
=in one spot too long they want to give you thorazine!

I could use some of that. Perhaps not. Yeah. I think time has
been flying by just to rush my birthday a bit closer, so I'll
feel even worse than I already do! <g> Can't believe, I'll be
even more over the damn hill in a coupla days. Have a crispy
toast for me on the 4th of May! Whee whoppie

DL>[It's been another hellish week [g]]

Here also . . . not just the weather, <g> hectic and stuff!

DL>>Whatever happened to all that "piss and vinegar" that
DL>>we always used to be full of, to over flowing; where did that go?.

DL>I wish there was a cost recovery system for that. It was so
DL>bountiful, and now I have to replace it with Colombian coffee.
DL>Just not the same.

Got to rig some kind of intravenous gismo, so I can mainline
the coffee.

DL>>Ok, no need to be overly hasty in creating the masterpiece,
DL>>like love -- should take a little longer than planned, <g>.

DL>-funny thing is, I didn't even write it, but I love it.
DL>Wierd. I'm having more fun editing this than I think is allowed?

Having that much fun? Hm. Maybe I can interest you in a few
stacks of editing to do, <g>.

DL>>That sounds even better, and does take a bit longer.
DL>I'm close to the end, but I swear, I keep thinking it should be
DL>expanded into a book. I know everyone has strange and wondrous and
DL>ridiculous and insane stories-from-life, but Bud can certainly tell
DL>his with the best of 'em.

I've had a few interesting incidents here and there and along
the way as I've made my way around this here spinning patch of
dirt. And need to get them recorded in one form or another. If
for no other reason, than to be able to remember some of the stuff
after my mind is completely gone!

DL>>Without derangement I would have been history long ago, ala several
DL>>of my heroes.

DL>Oh god, you don't mean Hemmingway!? [Kidding]

Yep. He's one of the heroes. Got turned on to him and Poe at
a very early age . . . still not sure how that happened. From
comic books to Poe, Hemmingway, and others of that ilk.

DL>Speaking of derangement, I try to keep a healthy supply on hand
=at all times. I don't know if I would've been toast without it,
=but I certainly would have been boring [g].

For awhile, I was completely paranoid sychitzophrenic (forget the
medical label), but WOW! -- no need for drugs etc. Was having lots
of fun with the gang of myselves during that time frame, <g>.
Did several hundred poems and about 100 SF stories, and weeded
those down to the ones that could be translated to "reality" and
ended up with about 100 poems and only about 40 stories. Lost them
in a briefcase along the way to another life.

DL>>They've actually got a Coffee House with poetry readings

DL>They have a new one in Islamorda, where we're moving in the Keys.
DL>That's such an artsy-campy place anyway, with people slightly to the
DL>left of normal populating it in their own special ways. I can hardly
DL>wait. [FIDO will remain the same]

Just read a very good line on being a poet .... (now if I can
remember it) ... "When you're 20'ish you write what you think is
poetry. When you're 40 . . . you are a poet." Now, if I can just
grow up.

DL>>Nearly every time I hear the "Lizard" -- I get more nervous,
DL>>worrying about the future of the "average" American.

DL>And with good reason. The high point of my week, though, was when I
DL>finally caught a bit of CNN, just in time to hear the ACLU defending
DL>right-wingnut radio. The ACLU was loving it, the right, in obvious
DL>pain. I live for moments like these!

DL>[Dear Moderator, here's the poetry part:]

DL>WHITE STUFF!
