here is a poem that i wrote in the navy back in 1983 and it goes like this
  Lying here beneath the stars,I think about your smile
It makes the waiting that we've done seem all the more worthwhile
You and i we met by chance on a night so much like this
Declared our love so tenderly,and sealed it with a kiss
The moon was out,the stars were bright,and crickets sang their song
Yours is the love I've waited for,and needed for so long
Moonlight and showers,dewdrops and flowers
Our love will grow stronger with each passing hour
The thought of you in my arms again,sends tingles down my spine
Because my heart is yours my love,and yours I know is mine
The love I have in side for you,my darling has no ends
Good lovers we will always be,but always better friends
One parting vow,for you my dear,from deep within my heart
The time draws near for us my dear nevermore to be apart.
