From where do you draw that conclusion? The guy that IBM put in charge
of the "new" consolidated IBM Personal Systems Division is a major exec
in the company. He was the head of all of IBM North American Marketing
and Services, Bob Stephenson. They did not put this guy in charge to
close down OS/2 and PS. They put him in charge to take on Microsoft.
They did not go out and buy Lotus just to have Notes. They bought Lotus
to compete with Microsoft. Anyone that doesn't see that reads way to
many of Microsoft's editorials. <G>
