But it seems to me that the biggest complainers are the developers who are saying that they aren't getting enough kickbacks from IBM. My suggestion is for them to get off their butts and do the work that they are getting paid for. If they can't develop a decent product for a particular operating system then they shouldn't be in the business. Usually, the first question I ask when I call about new products is "Do you make it available for OS/2?" and when they say no then I tell them thanks for your time, here's my number, and call me when you do... oh, by the way, what was the name of your competitor across the street? Since most companies I talk to have toll free numbers and you usually don't get the same operator twice you can call a couple of times a day... maybe eventually, hopefully before he** freezes over, they'll think about offering one. Who knows, if there were say 100 people a week [ a day ] that called, it may get their attention. I'm not going to make suggestions about marketing because I don't know that much about it, besides, this post is too long already. SandTiger |
