I'm posting this on a few different OS/2 subs I subscribe to, so my apologies for making anyone read this more than once. I'm running a two node VBBS-DOS based system, and am looking for the ability to shut down and restart one node from the other from DOS. For example, if my first node locks up for some reason and I call in from remote (on the second node), I'd like to be able to shut down node 1 and then re-start it. I'm also interested in this to set up a transporter to allow someone online to call out using the other modem; to do so I'd need to first shut the other node down, and then restart it when the outgoing call completed. Does OS/2 have any provisions for accomplishing this? If so, can they be executed from a DOS session? I'm using OS/2 Warp. |
