This is your biggest problem... memory is very critical for multi-tasking
operating systems, and OS/2 is no exception.

I use both Word and Excel through Warp; I haven't had any problems at all
with them.

Yeah, it would.  I would say memory is the most critical component for
performance considerations.  I have 8 megs on my machine (486/dx2/66) and
am about to upgrade to 16 so things will work faster.
