--- Andrew Wilson #28 @120502 said to All #1 @1205020*1 --- on 09-17-95 13:54 about "help me with WIN-OS2" AW#@> So now to my REAL problem: ProComm 2.0Win. I get the message AW#@> "DSTASK.386 not found". Sounds kinda like my WordPerfect problem, Well, I thought I would let everyone know what's happening in my blue world. I got this really cool suggestion over the phone to handle my ProComm 2.0Win problem. The caller suggested to go to the OS/2 Setup Group and select "Add New Programs." I did that and "added" ProComm. That did the trick. Now ProComm starts wonderfully and I am happily blue. I WILL keep OS/2 after all. However, the performance of ProComm isn't entirely satisfac- tory. It seems to skip characters when communicating with BBSs. I haven't tried the FAX yet. I have tried various settings, but they don't seem to have any significant effect. The caller indicated that there may be different COM port drivers that would cure the problem. He gave me a handout that was downloaded from the TeamOS/2 helpline on the InterNet. I misplaced it. So if anyone knows about this, I appreciate the help. Seriously! Ok, that's it for now. See ya'll later... Andy ... "You gotta love this place.
