 when i got this message stating "master boot record has been modified ect.
 ect. " it was the result of a VIRUS, and my system was loading SB16 drivers
 for no reason as well as hard drive drivers, my system also ran in safe mode
 after the boot sector had been corrupted.
 oh yea, the STEALTH_C virus was cause, ran out and BOUGHT a anti-virus progra
 and killed the virus, the formatted my hard drive (the boot sector was
 corupted) and reinstalled everything.the whole exprience was a pain in the as
 but dispite your belief, it's not Bill Gates fault, and as far as the manual
 is concerned, virus's and their effect on your system aren't covered in the
 manual.
 if you don't like Bill Gates, then stop buying his products moron.

Next time you have ANY kind of boot virus, just go to DOS and type the
following to get rid of it:    C:\DOS\FDISK /MBR
This creates a new master boot record.
