Re: Windows Desktop Question > In Win95, I have lost my DISPLAY icon in CONTROL PANEL. How can I get that > back? Well, first go to Start-Find-Files or folder enter *.cpl and hit browse. You should see a list of 15 or so (I have 17) files. You're looking for DESK.CPL. It should be in the \windows\system sub directory. If it isn't then put it there. If you don't find it at all I would suggest reinstalling windows or maybe try copying just that file from a friend and putting it into the system direcory. It's my fear though that if one file is erased then maybe more are??? Good luck. tome |
