to zip something you do

pkzip [file to create] [files to add]

so to zip everything in the directory you'd do: pkzip files.zip *.*

also, to zip upall the subdirectories in the zip file too you do:
pkzip -r -P hello.zip

there are also lots of other uses but those are the most commonaly used..

(to unzip a file that has zipped up directiries you use the -u switch like
pkunzip -u zipfile.zip)
