I don't run too many games, but I used to have 8 megs and doom 1 and 2 ran
fine for me.

My point exactly..... How many computers are sold with 8 meg-o-ram?

     Almost all of them! Almost everything will run with 8 meg. Perhaps a tad
slow, but these games do run.
