Most of the complaints I have seen are about compatibility problems.
Most of them I can agree with, its a shame that when it came out so many
programs that people have purchased became useless. People who used 286, and
386 computers became less than, I know  of people who have spent good money
to have programs for win 3.11 only to find that they were useless on 95!
I have never followed the crowd when it came to computers or software, I only
recently upgraded my bbs to a 386! I think that the developement of the
software for 95 was the biggest (corner the market) deal around,
look at the articles about netscape and microsoft being at war.
I know people in the business who have said the same thing, every new
computer is licenced to be sold with 95 installed.
Experiment for yourself, go to a place like Circuit city or another store and
ask if the system can be purchased without 95 or the software package (mostly
microsoft products) and see the look you get. Ask if its cheaper, and youll
get doubletalk.
