Valhalla | All | Win95 VS Mac OS |

Anyone here remotely familiar with Macs? A friend and I were talking the other day about his old Apple II GS <I think> and comparing its operating system to Windows 95. We came to the mutual agreement <though I am a Windows/PC user myself> that the people at Microsoft are incompetent SLOPPY programmers. The Mac uses about 10 MB for OS. It does everything that Windows 95 does, they look and function VERY much the same, and performs just as well. However, it takes MS Win95 about what, 60-80MB? What MS needs to do is take lessons from Mac and tighten their code up a lot. A Mac with a slower processor will out run a PC in nearly every field. Why? Because their OS is FASTER and TIGHTER. The need for faster processors come from one thing. The need for better/tighter programming. Otherwise, a 486 would still kick MAJOR butt. . .if the OS was more efficient. |
