I've been running VBBS (7.00) through Windows for several months now, since upgrading from 6.10, without problems. But recently, my BBS has been locking up at random- when someone tries to enter a door (most of the time when someone tries to play a game). There doesn't appear to be any patter to it, things will work fine all day and then all of a sudden lock up when someone tries to play a game that worked fine earlier. Every time it seems like it's something different. I was using QEMM for memory management, and just switched to EMM386 thinking that perhaps I'd have better luck. The same thing is still happening, but this time I'm getting the following message when things lock: Internal Stack Overflow System Halted Anyone have any ideas on what I can do to take care of this, or what to look for? I have a STACKS=9,256 in my config.sys, which I thought was a fairly large allocation... I've got a 486/DX2/66 with 8 megs RAM. Everything runs perfectly fine both straight from DOS or through DesqView. I figure it must be some problem with Windows and memory, but I dunno... |
