The machine is a ACER 486SX33 Intel Processor, with a SVGA monitor ( Video
Card Unknown) 170Meg Hd (doublespaced to 340), 4 megs of System RAM, ZOOM
28.8 VFC Internal faxmodem, Creative Labs SBPRO. As to the errors they occur
randomly and only while using DOS based programs. These can be anything, a
dos game, Dos editor (no difference if it is selected itself from windows or
If I use the MSDOS Icon and use the editor within it) No hardware is
necessarily being accessed directly. I really have no idea, I thought perhaps
that I had a corrupted copy of Windows 3.1 and I deltree'd it and reinstalled,
and no difference, when I upgraded to WFWG no difference. Also, If I try to
quit windows and attempt to run a program without rebooting I get an Error
message from EMM386 and I am forced to reboot. Any help would be greatly
appreciated. Also, as I said this happens just all of a sudden and not every
time, everything works well a few times after I reboot then it starts all over
again.
