VBBS Don't like ROOTS on the >RAM Drive. > So do a: >MD something <-Make a SUB Directory >the: >CD something <- Copy to a SUB Directory >before copying files to the RAM drive. Like this. . . LOADRAM.BAT: md e:\vbbs md e:\vbbs\v md e:\vbbs\data md e:\vbbs\temp md e:\vbbs\txt xcopy c:\vbbs\v\*.fb e:\vbbs\v\*.fb xcopy c:\vbbs\v\*.lit e:\vbbs\v\*.lit xcopy c:\vbbs\v\*.cod e:\vbbs\v\*.cod xcopy c:\vbbs\txt\*.asc e:\vbbs\txt\*.asc xcopy c:\vbbs\txt\*.ans e:\vbbs\txt\*.ans xcopy c:\vbbs\txt\*.txt e:\vbbs\txt\*.txt xcopy c:\vbbs\txt\*.mnu e:\vbbs\txt\*.mnu xcopy c:\vbbs\txt\*.pt* e:\vbbs\txt\*.pt* xcopy c:\vbbs\txt\tagline.* e:\vbbs\txt\tagline.* The data dir should only be used for CONTROL.DAT. And remember that any files you edit on the hard drive must be copied to the ramdrive if you are to update them. Also make sure that you have the paths set to the ramdrive in Paths Configuration within VCONFIG. And thanks for that last round of tips on WFW, Matthew. Some insightful stuff.
