The Spiraling Death Syndrome was only present in the V.34 Sportster with early ROM chips. USR sent out free replacement chips which eliminated that problem (which was not experienced by everyone). The Courier V.Everything NEVER had the problem. I have 2 Couriers and a Sportster and they have worked fine since day 1.
