[ReGaRDiNG]: Random Lockups --[ Reply if You Want, I Don't Mind ]-- -------=======] You were blabbering on about... [=======-------- > My BBS keeps locking up in random places at random times. This is getting to > be annoying. Is there any help out there? > -------=======] I straightened you out with.... [=======-------- Check your logs to see what your board was doing when it locked up. The run an HD diagnostic program (SCANDISK) to see that your HD hasn't got a problem. Next, run DEFRAG to un-fragment your HD. Finally "refresh" your .EXE from your archive files or installtion disks for all your BBS, VBBS, VBBS-AUX, and any utility i.e VAREA, VFIDO, etc. Be sure that you have the utility compatable with the version of VBBS you are running i.e. 6.xx for VBBS 6.xx and 7.xx for VBBS 7.xx This should take care of any "random" lockups. Wild Bill/Bill Frazier RC PTZ [VSB]Net PRIMETime BBS @1503029 [VSB] (541)857-2653 VFC 28.8 VBBS 7.00 |
