Buisness is buisness, but lets talk about extremes.. You forgot to mention the THOUSANDS of labour hours it took to create the program in the first place. There isn't just 1 person working on the project, there were probably 50-100 people on this one project. So, lets say that the project took 1 year to complete, and let's say the average salary for these people is 25,000 (some will be higher, and some will be lower). That's 2.5 million dollars spent to get this project off the ground. How the HELL is a company supposed to recoup that by chargin 3.02$ per copy???? Now you see why VB is 400$. p.s. you also forgot the printing cost of the manuals. That alone was probably 100k |
