If the latter is the case then read on: Actually, both cases are correct. I work for a corporation on salary, and also have my own business. So, both sides apply here. Even in the first case, however, my original point still holds true (though to a lesser degree). The more piracy that goes on, the less a product makes, and the less a programmer will be paid. > artists... What has been done for programmers?? My brother is a professional musician, so I'm also well aware of how residuals work. No such luck for programmers, or at least not in my case. Working for yourself is the only way to get rich though, right? It is a lot nicer to be in control of what happens to your creations rather than blindly hand them away for a few dollars, never to have any part in the profits afterwards. |
