IBM has been under investigation for about 20 years more than Microsoft so far, and as yet the Government has not got its act together to punish IBM. Yet, IBM's practices with regard to Mainframe and Minicomputer products, where they have dominated the world for 30 years, are far more anti-competitive than Microsoft's, and far further in breach of anti-Trust regulations. On that basis, we might expect Microsoft to finally end up in trouble in about 2030, if the Justice Department chooses to penalise IBM some time before the millenia. Neil J Marshall.
