Windows NT and Windows/95 both pre-emtively multi-task, whilst Windows 3.11, 3.1, 3.0, 2.11/386 and 2.1/386 all co-operatively multi-task. Windows NT and Windows 95 are both 32 bit operating systems, whilst Windows 3.11 has a number of 32 bit sections. Windows/95 will ship more copies in the first few months than OS/2 has in all its life. The future of OS/2 is as good or bad as the future of the Mac, the Amiga, and all the other "interesting but not mainstream" products. Neil J Marshall.
