Would you like one? What you describe above is exactly the way the program is, now the Sort routines are internal! The only Shell commands I need to do are to run Archivers, Unarchivers and Protocols. Furthermore, I don't even need to detect Bad Command or File Name these days (as I used to in the SORT days) since other methods are used to detect if an Archiver has worked or failed (by detecting if the .PKT has been deleted by the Archiver's Move command), or if an Unarchiver has worked (by capturing the output to a file and checking for .PKT names), or if a Protocol has worked (by examining the DSZ log file). So, I'm not inconvenienced by the failure to replicate Bad Command or File Name, I'm just irritated by it. Neil J Marshall.
