How much more would that show than the ANSI statistics screen that comes up
when people log on already?

     I think he means a customizeable stats screen, since the default stats
screen at login is hard-coded into the source code.  I'd guess he'd like
something along those lines.  (or that presented more detailed stats than the
default does).  Perhaps let the user specify a certain ansi filename, and
using special codes (% codes, for example) replace those with stats (buffered
with spaces if needed)..  Just a thought.  :)
