I missed the original post of this one, but thought I'd add my thoughts
to your reply.

I would definitely contact the original author of the scripts.  If this
is classified as plagerism, he/she could even go after the person who
sold the script.  If any money was collected, it could be recovered,
even if the scripts were originally offered at no charge.
