Please help it survive!!!! > *** Diamond Dave *** Dave, I would not be overly concerned about that from Roland. He has told me for a long time that he didn't really his system to be a busy net hub. He has wanted it to be available for Software Distribution and Support. Not granted, he has not been much for the Support and and I continue to hope that he changes that. But if one of his two lines is busy for net only (or so it is suppose to be that way), then he is also not fulfilling the Distribution end of the scope -- and really to no fault of his own except for NOT turning clients DOWN. I use to net into Roland, but it was busy enough where I decided to change to Gene's system. The whole web server thing on @1 also seems to be causing a bottleneck of messages. I have been getting messages here that are only three hops away, but are 15 days old. As for where people can go, I am willing to take some clients and can probably find others that are likewise willing to take clients. Especially if those clients are interesting in using VPKTSEND. Gene and I have been using it since Christmas time and I have seen a real reduction in my long distance bill. Will VirtualNET die? I think not. And I know that Gene, myself and many others are going to make sure of it. Roland after all said, according to your post, that he wanted the net CLIENTS off of his system, not the NETWORK off of his system... I have space here for those that need it. Let me know.
