I know that Tom Torbeck will continue on where you have left off. Thank you for the Kind words, Medic. I will do my best to handle this sub ina very open format. I probably should however admit that I am very PRO VA though. > I, too, wonder about the place of the one line hobby bbs with all of this > talk of the internet intergration into VA. One thing that people forget, is that although you (not specificly "YOU" may not want these features, others DO. I personally love that more is being put into that end of the software. Matter of fact, if things go as plannned, I will have a full-time connect and a static IP address no-later-then Feb 1st. The bad part about all of this is that part of it still depends on your location. I live in 'Chicagoland' -- well outside the city limits. The one thing that we do NOT have a shortage of is ISPs. The one I use now I found out about from a local software store -- where the ISP just so happens to have three T-1's residing. There was is a domain transfer fee, but they do not charge extra for having the domain there. Matter of fact, the owner told me that if I want to set it up as a deal, he would give a 'group' discount to any of my users that went to him for the Full Service account. I still provide them with the free, easy to get email and everything else they want. Later on, if Roland DOES get that telnet thing working, I will put that up for them. That way, my users can go to him and STILL get onto the BBS. Tom Torbeck, 1@1847000 VirtualNET Regions 5 and 8 Coordinator The Left Side of Normal BBS |-VirtualNET @1847000 (Region 5 & 8 Coordin.)
