   The resounding answer again is "NO".    He is NOT honoring any
registrations for pre VA software.  Why should he, it's ancient
history now.  Let it die as it should.

   Well, if VA is the closest there is, seems to me, the only other
alternative you have is to write your own, thus at least start from
scratch and not scam off someone else's code 
   But, in truth, there are BBS's out there that do all you want.  You
simply need to change your operating system to UNIX
