I cannot remember if he told me in an email or in a phone call, but he lost
all of his data for Vastnet (the net.10 mostly) that had all of the passwords
and such.

I will agree that I wish he had made an announcement about it, but to the
best of my knowledge, VASTnet has been discontinued.
