Virtual Advanced Version 2.0 already has the capability of acting as a "mini-ISP". All you have to do is set it up. (The logon from your users is a bit of a problem though). 2.0 also has the ability to interface with IRC-Chat. These are available TODAY!! Also, it is my understanding that some form of telnet capability is in the works for a future release, some time down the road. Roland is already moveing Virtual Advanced in the direction you have requested with the relase of Version 2.0. > Now, my question is, is there any way that all this could be > accomplished using VA as the bbs platform? Yes, Just upgrade to Virtual Advanced 2.0 and most of what you have asked for will be available to you. (Oh yes, you will also need the latest version of VISK.... 1.30). > If the answer to that question is the resounding 'NO!' that I suspect it > will be, is RdG still honoring orders for VBBS 6.14 or 7.0 with the > source code provided and whatever else goes with it according to the > order forms? AH!!! but the answer to that question is a resounding "YES!". And no, I honestly don't think that Roland is accepting any further registrations for outdated software.
