I am using IREX's between.bat to do the following:
CD \VBBS
set dszlog=v:\vbbs\dsz1.log
vfido /r /networkid=4
vme /toss

Also in your vconfig fido network setup, edit dial list entry, ensure there is
a value in the storage directory setting, in my case its 000001 which
corresponds to a subfolder under the FIDO out folder.
