Yeah I would update to the release version.

You will need to enable fTelnet in the VADV-PHP VConfig General settings. That
will add the link to the main page. You will also need to be running my Policy
Server (no config needed from default), and you need to open port 843 on your
router and have it pointing to your BBS machine's IP address.
