Regardless what you do, it is going to take some work to fix it.

Since the path has changed on the databases, we cannot simply delete the
dat/bin files and run vfilesyn.

To fix paths, you can either edit each one individually (best option in my
opinion unless there are hundreds), or to purge everything and let vadv32
create them again and vfilesyn to import the files.
