Some Eastern schools of thought say that a person has an "astral body," which is capable of getting up and moving around, which relays data we percieve as "dreams," etc. Mr. Hubbard says that a being is a thought unit, in control of a body, and that that thought unit can size and re-size itself as it wishes. It can also supposedly control the body from a great distance... it's in a different dimension or something like that. There's even a course called "Exteriorization and the phenomena of space" or something like that that, it is claimed, can teach you how to "step back" from your body and view things from the thought unit's perspective, which is usually above the head somewhere (that would certainly explain people who claim to see their bodies below them during surgeries, etc.) Frankly, I'm not really sure if I believe any of that stuff... I have no physical evidence. |
