You shouldn't have any issues with Slack though it's been so long since I've run Slack that if you have issues, let Andrew know. His main MBSE development machine is running Slack 14 though Patrick keeps threatening to release Slack 15...someday. I've found that I like FreeBSD much better than Linux for several reasons but it can be a bit hairy at times to get things to work. I'd definitely not recommend FreeBSD as a desktop unless you're really wanting to get under the hood. However, once you do get it going, I've found FreeBSD as a personal desktop to be much more stable for me than Linux. -- Sean ...
