Reason For Being: WWIVnet Requested A Reply: Yea, If You Can Find Time... DarkQuote v2.0 -- Someone Screamed... -- Re: WWIVnet Let us know how it goes. How do you get a WWIV node number these days? It was looking like WWIV was collasping, with all of the WWIV Sysops converting to Syncronet. -- And Jahmas Yelled Back... -- There are still some hardcore WWIVers. Something like the hardcore VABBSers. As a matter of fact, there is a few oldtimers around here starting their boards up because WWIVx has been ported to Linux and Frank Reid at Eagles Dare has been developing the PPP project for quite sometime which allows for network packets to be tossed via a POP3 account. Frank's board is within dial-up for me so I will get my node number from him. His telnet address is (bbs.filenet.wwiv.net) You can see how his networks are running and read all the development there. Docs for importing WWIV network packets are being re-written by jdoll@bravanet.net To be continued.... |
