I had a day off of work and was tracing down a weird AC hum reverberating through our house. Turned out it was my subwoofer/pc speaker system on its way out, they were probably 10 years old at this point. I replaced them with some cheapo speakers I had lying around, and decided to take the time to vacuum under my desk and dress the cables. Of course, in the process of moving cables around, I damaged an HDMI cable running from primary my monitor to the PC. No problem, I thought, I have lots of HDMI cables lying around. Look at the monitor end to realize I'd had to buy a DVI to HDMI cable. Where am I going to find one of those? Ordered one on Amazon, and in the meantime ended up using my secondary monitor as my primary monitor with a spare analog to DVI adapter. (My video card has one DisplayPort and one HDMI port. Why, I have no clue...) This has got to be a grand conspiracy to get us to buy more cables. ... All of my certifications are self-signed. --- MultiMail/DOS v0.52 * Origin: realitycheckBBS.org -- information is power. (618:300/1) |
